d\u00e9roulaient des courses de chars et d&rsquo;autres manifestations.<br \/>\nSa construction est commenc\u00e9e par l&#8217;empereur&nbsp;<em>Septime&nbsp;S\u00e9v\u00e8re<\/em> dans la ville qui s&rsquo;appelait encore Byzance,<br \/>\npour \u00eatre achev\u00e9e par <em>Constantin&nbsp;I<sup>er<\/sup><\/em> pour sa nouvelle capitale, <em>Constantinople<\/em>.<br \/>\n<strong>L&rsquo;hippodrome&nbsp;de&nbsp;Constantinople<\/strong> a \u00e9t\u00e9 ensuite utilis\u00e9 jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 la fin du XII<sup>e<\/sup>&nbsp;si\u00e8cle, avant d&rsquo;\u00eatre partiellement incendi\u00e9 par les Crois\u00e9s en&nbsp;1203.<br \/>\nAujourd&rsquo;hui, les vestiges de l&rsquo;hippodrome sont visibles sur la place du Sultan-Ahmet \u00e0&nbsp;<em>\u0130stanbul<\/em>.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section
